Not the change,
but you.

Eighteen years in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. I do the consultation and the operation myself.

Every consultation and operation, with the same surgeon.

Hello,

An aesthetic decision is often weighed for months, sometimes years. Many patients begin their first sentence in my office with “This may sound silly, but…”. None of it is silly.

After graduating from Istanbul Faculty of Medicine I specialised in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. For eighteen years I have operated on faces, noses, eyelids, breasts and bodies. I do the consultation, the operation and the check-ups myself; I do not hand you over to an assistant.

My aim is not to make your face or body look like someone else’s. It is a change that does not feel foreign in the mirror, one that makes the people close to you say “you look rested”. When that is not possible, I tell you so plainly.

My training and how I work

What matters before the operation as much as the operation itself

Natural

Natural

I work to keep a natural look. My aim is not a new face but a rested version of yours.

A change that goes unnoticed on the street, not just in the mirror.

Safety

Safety

Every operation takes place in a fully equipped hospital with an anaesthesiologist. I do not perform an operation I believe is not right for you.

Sometimes the right answer is “not now”.

Listening first

Listening first

At the first consultation you do most of the talking. I do not plan before I understand what you expect.

The first question is always the same: “What bothers you most?”

Afterwards

Afterwards

You are not left alone during recovery. I do the check-ups myself, and you get a line to reach us directly.

The operation takes a day; recovery takes months.

Contents

The procedures I plan in my practice. Each page has a timeline, recovery time and the questions I suggest you ask at the consultation.

  1. Rhinoplasty (Nose Reshaping) Nose
Rhinoplasty (Nose Reshaping) — Dr. Selim Yıldız

We reshape the bridge, tip and width of the nose to suit your facial proportions and, if needed, correct the airway in the same operation.

  2. Face and Neck Lift Face
Face and Neck Lift — Dr. Selim Yıldız

We correct sagging of the cheeks, jawline and neck by repositioning the deeper tissues; the aim is a rested look, not a “pulled” one.

  3. Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty) Eyes
Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty) — Dr. Selim Yıldız

We remove excess skin from the upper lids and correct bags in the lower lids to reduce a tired look; when needed, this also opens the field of vision.

  4. Breast Surgery Breast
Breast Surgery — Dr. Selim Yıldız

Breast augmentation, reduction and lift: volume, shape and position are planned to your chest measurements.

  5. Liposuction and Body Contouring Body
Liposuction and Body Contouring — Dr. Selim Yıldız

We remove stubborn local fat that does not respond to diet and exercise using fine cannulas to refine body contours; it is not a weight-loss method.

  6. Fillers and Botulinum Toxin Non-surgical
Fillers and Botulinum Toxin — Dr. Selim Yıldız

Botulinum toxin to soften expression lines and hyaluronic acid filler to balance volume loss; non-surgical treatments at the practice.

What is on your mind?

Choose the area first, then the sentence closest to how you feel. See which procedures we could discuss and the questions you might ask at your consultation.

The area I think about most:

The sentence that describes it best:

The finder only gives preliminary information; it does not diagnose or recommend surgery. The right approach is decided at the consultation.

    Consultation at the practice

About 45 minutes. I listen to what you expect, examine you and we go through the options together.

    • Bring a list of the medicines you take
    • Bring any previous surgical reports
    • You leave with a written plan

    Video pre-consultation

A 20-minute introduction. Ask your questions, hear how the process works and decide together whether a consultation makes sense.

    • The meeting link is sent to your e-mail
    • The call is not recorded
    • No surgical decision is made on video
    Request a video call

A video pre-consultation does not replace an examination; diagnosis and surgical decisions are made at a face-to-face consultation.

    In my patients’ own words

The result is exactly what I wanted, very natural. At the consultation he said “let’s think about your face, not your nose”; that stayed with me.

    Frequently asked

The questions I hear most at consultations. If yours is not here, write to me.

    All questions
Is a surgery date set at the consultation?

No. I do not set a date on the day of the consultation; I want you to read the written plan at home and decide without rushing. When you decide, our coordinator schedules the date.

    Who performs the operations?

I perform all operations myself. Consultation, surgery and check-ups are with the same doctor; an anaesthesiologist and the theatre team are with me in surgery.

How long is the first consultation, and is it charged?

It takes about 45 minutes and is charged; the fee is given on the phone when booking. A video pre-consultation lasts 20 minutes and is charged separately.

Does a video call replace the consultation?

No. On a video call I answer your questions and explain the process; diagnosis and a surgical decision require a face-to-face consultation.

What should I bring to the consultation?

A list of the medicines you take, any previous surgical reports and recent test results. I also suggest writing down your questions; you can use the question lists on the procedure pages.

    Where do operations take place?

At a fully equipped partner private hospital in Şişli, with an anaesthesiologist present. Non-surgical treatments are done at the practice.
